Das war SecMUN 2015
During the weekend, the FAUMUN delegation was invited for the second time to the Security Model United Nations conference, organized by the University of the Bundeswehr Munich. The SecurityMUN in Munich was once again the perfect opportunity for the delegates to put their attainments of the last few weeks to the test. Considering that the educational fields differ from school to school, it is obvious that the joint work of students of the University of the Bundeswehr Munich and those of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg was a mutual gain. Such a lively exchange was inspiring and brought out the best in our students. The division into three councils – Human Rights Council, Peacebuilding Commission and Security Council – gave the delegates a great possibility to apply their knowledge of the United Nations Rules of Procedure and of course their speaking and negotiation skills in front of a whole committee. We are looking back on a weekend filled with amazing speeches, great negotiations, interesting topics and of course an active exchange of ideas. Even though exhausted after three days of challenging discussions, the delegation can be proud to present great results and to take their awards home.
