The FAUMUN Europe Delegation
FAUMUN provides students with a unique opportunity to engage in international diplomacy, debate, and policymaking. Each year, selected participants have undergone rigorous training to prepare for a final international Model United Nations (MUN) conference, allowing students to represent various countries in different committees and discuss global issues, developing their negotiation, public speaking, and leadership skills. Due to the huge success of previous years and calls for more, we are proud to present – besides the New York Delegation and the Blockseminar – this year’s 3rd opportunity: the FAUMUN Europe Delegation!
In addition to the New York Delegation, FAUMUN offers a more accessible and cost-effective alternative with the Europe Delegation. The curriculum for the Europe Delegation is very similar the objectives and structure of the New York Delegation by joint weekly Monday meetings and joint speech and negotiation training weekends, but focuses on participating in a European conference instead of the New York MUN, reducing the participation fee as well as our ecological footprint.
In 2025, the first FAUMUN Europe Delegation participated in the MUN Rome conference as their final conference. In 2026 the Delegation participated in a Model EU conference in Brussels. The destination of the final conference rotates yearly. For 2027, the participation in the Model United Nations conference MUN France in Paris is in the planning. There the Delegation will not only participate in the conference, but also visit several (international) institutions and embassies.
Both the New York Delegation and the Europe Delegation follow the same foundational training program until Christmas. This comprehensive training covers essential skills and knowledge required for effective participation in Model UN conferences. From January onwards, the two delegations diverge, with each focusing on specialized preparation tailored to their respective conferences. As for the New York delegation, 10 ECTS can be earned for a successful participation in the Europe Delegation.
In the summer semester, we offer a special edition in parallel to the DE Delegation: the Vienna Edition. Thereby, our students participate in a MUN conference in the Vienna International Center – the HQ of the UN in Vienna – and visit UN organisations such as UNIDO, UNODC, UNOOSA, IAEA, CTBTO etc.

Die FAUMUN Europe Delegation
FAUMUN bietet Studierenden eine einzigartige Gelegenheit, sich mit internationaler Diplomatie, Debatten und Politikgestaltung zu beschäftigen. Jedes Jahr durchlaufen ausgewählte Teilnehmende ein intensives Training, um sich auf eine abschließende internationale Model United Nations (MUN) Konferenz vorzubereiten. Dabei vertreten sie verschiedene Länder in unterschiedlichen Komitees, diskutieren globale Themen und entwickeln ihre Verhandlungs-, Rede- und Führungsfähigkeiten. Aufgrund des großen Erfolgs der letzten Jahre und der Nachfrage nach mehr Möglichkeiten zur Teilnahme freuen wir uns, dieses Jahres neben unserer New York Delegation und dem Blockseminar unser 3. FAUMUN Programm vorzustellen: die FAUMUN Europa-Delegation!
Zusätzlich zur New York Delegation bietet FAUMUN eine zugänglichere und kostengünstigere Alternative mit der Europe Delegation. Der Lehrplan der Europe Delegation stimmt größtenteils mit dem der New York Delegation überein. Durch gemeinsame wöchentliche Montagstreffen und gemeinsame Wochenenden für Rede- und Verhandlungstraining sind beide Delegationen eng vernetzt. Die EU Delegation konzentriert sich jedoch auf die Teilnahme an einer europäischen Konferenz anstelle der New York MUN. Dies reduziert die Teilnahmegebühr sowie unseren ökologischen Fußabdruck.
2025 nahm die erste FAUMUN Europe Delegation an der MUN Rome als Abschlusskonferenz teil. Im darauffolgendem Jahr an einer Model EU Konferenz in Brüssel. Da das Ziel der Abschlusskonferenz jährlich rotiert ist für 2027 die Teilnahme an der Model United Nations Konferenz MUN France in Paris geplant. Dort wird die Delegation nicht nur an der Konferenz teilnehmen, sondern auch verschiedene (internationale) Institutionen und Botschaften besichtigen.
Sowohl die New York Delegation als auch die Europe Delegation folgen bis Weihnachten dem gleichen grundlegenden Trainingsprogramm. Dieses umfassende Training deckt die wesentlichen Fähigkeiten und Kenntnisse ab, die für eine effektive Teilnahme an Model UN-Konferenzen erforderlich sind. Ab Januar trennen sich die beiden Delegationen, wobei jede sich auf eine spezialisierte Vorbereitung konzentriert, die auf ihre jeweiligen Konferenzen zugeschnitten ist. Ebenso wie für die New York Delegation kann für die Europe Delegation 10 ECTS angerechnet werden.
Eine besondere Edition der Europa-Delegation bieten wir parallel zur DE Delegation im Sommersemester an: die Wien-Edition. Hierbei nehmen die Teilnehmenden an einer MUN-Konferenz im Vienna International Center – dem HQ der UN in Wien – teil und besuchen UN Organisationen wir UNIDO, UNODC, UNOOSA, IAEA, CTBTO etc. vor Ort.
