FAUMUN x ErlangenMUN 2025
This year’s ErlangenMUN brought together our delegates’ friends from the University of Bamberg, the Blockseminar, and our Double Delegation for an engaging day of debate and collaboration.
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) committee focused on two pressing topics:
1. Forced Displacement due to Climate Change
2. Preventing and Responding to Gender-Based Violence against Refugees
Delegates worked together in their respective working group to draft resolutions addressing climate-induced displacement. Common approaches across the working groups, on topic one, included implementing early-warning systems, developing climate-resilient infrastructure for refugee camps and host communities, and creating educational initiatives and skill-building programs. Observing different groups combined these strategies showed the diversity of ideas and the collaborative spirit that underpins effective diplomacy.
By the end of the day, each resolution reflected thoughtful negotiation and strong commitment to solutions. Our delegates left the conference with a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by climate-displaced people and the practical steps that international cooperation can achieve.
A special thank you goes to Prof. Dr Hornegger and Prof. Dr. Krajewski, to Anabel, Christopher, Charlie, Didrik, Julia, Celina, Yara, Max, and to our friends from the Bamberg Delegation.
