FAUMUN x MiniMUN 2025
Immediately after our speech training, the FAUMUN Double Delegation 2026 participated in our first MiniMUN. Taking place on the same weekend, it was our first chance to apply the speaking skills we had just learned.
This year, we simulated the United Nations Environmental Assembly (UNEA), discussing the following topics:
I. Environmental Sustainability in the Textile and Fashion Industries
II. Implementing the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework
Working together for the first time as delegates was both exciting and challenging. For example, one working group focused on developing a draft resolution addressing a circular textile economy, fair trade, and sustainable production. Seeing our ideas take shape in a structured document demonstrated how collaboration and compromise come together in diplomatic work.
By the end of the day, we not only gained insight into global environmental issues but also grew more confident in our roles as delegates, ready to take on the conferences ahead.
We would also like to thank Celina, Max, and Yara for chairing the committee. Their firm guidance and high expectations challenged us to step up and gave us a realistic impression of what to expect from an actual MUN conference.
Lastly, we also took our official task force pictures. The FAUMUN Task forces include the social and video teams led by Yara. Celina leads the social media task force, and Max leads the merchandise and journal team. All of them work on their individual tasks during the semester to create a valuable experience for everyone.
