Last Friday, we officially started our FAUMUN 2026 journey with the kickoff of our Double Delegation. The event marked the beginning of an exciting semester that we all had been looking forward to.

After a brief introduction to this year’s team and some organizational points, we had the opportunity to get to know each other through a fun speed dating session. It was an easy and enjoyable way to start conversations and build first connections across our delegation.

This year, our Double Delegation consists of 32 participants, making it the largest in FAUMUN history. Our EU Delegation, led by Max, will travel to Brussels in March to take part in the FWWMEU Conference. Meanwhile, our New York Delegation will represent Colombia in several committees, including the Security Council, at the National Model United Nations Conference in New York, accompanied by Celina and Yara.

We were also introduced to the FAUMUN task forces that keep everything running throughout the year. These include the Social Media Team, Merch Team, Video Team, Social Team, and Journal Team. Each of us joined one of these groups to contribute to different parts of the project and strengthen the FAUMUN community.

Afterward, we took our official group photos and individual headshots to capture the first memories of the semester with our Delegation.

To close the day, we gave our first presentations on topics such as the history and main bodies of the United Nations, the European Union, the international justice and monetary system, and the Sustainable Development Goals. It was a great first step into public speaking and teamwork, helping us build the confidence, structure, and background knowledge that will be essential for future debates and conference sessions.

With this strong start, we are ready for our FAUMUN 2026 Journey!
